The 50/50 methodology is one of Genaro Design's processes for developing logos. A self-promotional campaign demonstrating this method included several videos, a white paper, and web page.
I created the reversible 50/50 brandmark as a way of identifying content from the campaign as well as an animated introduction for the campaign's videos. By creating an ambigram, I was able to create a mark as abstract as the work it represented that could demonstrate both the company's often-clean approach to design as well as a visually-clever approach to communication.
In addition to serving as an animated introduction, the mark also served as a visual hook through the use of animation. The 50/50 combination animation served on the campaign's webpage as an alternate introduction to the concept. The rotating animation simply emphasizes the ambigram efficiently for use in our portfolio and other applications.
